Dean Winchester was born on January 24, 1979. He is 6'1" tall and 27 years old. He usually wears worn jeans(with holes or tattered), a button-up shirt (unbuttoned, so the shirt underneath is exposed), and a dark brown leather jacket. He has a thick silver washer ring on his right ring finger, along with an elephant (hair) bracelet on his right wrist. He also wears a long leather band necklace with a silverish gold pendant attached (an Egyptian protection charm supposedly). He loves his car, a black four-door 1967 Chevy Impala. He is a fan of classic rock music, including Motörhead, AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, and Kansas.
Dean tends to use a chromed Colt 1911 with pearl grips, which John is seen using in a flashback. He also uses a sawed-off double barrel shotgun when he needs extra firepower. Dean has also been seen with a sniper rifle in "Simon Said." He is shown to possess a large Machete in " Fresh Blood."

Due to his father's training and his years of experience, Dean has several notable advantages for a human and is a formidable hunter. He is highly skilled at hand-to-hand/close quarters combat and demonstrates some skill in knife fighting. He is an exceptional shot and is superbly skilled with most small-arms weaponry, though he prefers his Colt 1911 and sawed-off. He possess demolitions training as well and knows how to build explosives from scratch, mixing common household chemicals to make improvised explosive devices"Croatoan". Dean is extremely proficient at tracking, hunting and killing various supernatural creatures and has considerable knowledge of these creatures, their habits, weaknesses, appearance, ways of disguising themselves among humans, methods of killing, and where they normally prefer to live and hunt.
In addition to his combat skills, Dean is a capable mechanic and knows the inner workings of the Impala so well that he can often detect when something is wrong with his "baby" merely by listening closely. He shows great skill at reading and manipulating people, is a competent con artist, and is quite knowledgable in how police, the fire department and various other angencies-such as the FBI, Home Land Security and Center for Disease Control-operate and respond to emergencies. Dean is also highly skilled at infiltration and stealth, knows how to disable and hack various electronic devices, such as home security systems-Bad Day at Black Rock-and can quickly bypass(pick) most standard locks
